Incredible place to stay. I love CSU, the campus is amazing. Fort Collins is a phenomenal city. For anyone who wants to experience the great outdoors, CSU is the place to be. There is hiking, climbing, backpacking, skiing, rowing, cycling, you name it, there is a place close by to do it. The weather couldn’t get better, sometimes it’s windy and cold and it can change in the blink of an eye, but with over 300 days of sunshine and a green city like Fort Collins, it’s truly amazing. Old Town, a stone’s throw from College Ave. away, is the place to be on weekends. It’s crowded, but it’s truly unique, offering a variety of sights, smells, tastes, and sounds all year round. And for those looking forward to turning 21, Fort Collins is a beer-lover’s mecca, with more than a dozen well-known and respected microbreweries just a short distance from campus. RamRide, a student service offered Thursday through Sunday as a safe ride home, is free for students and brings them home safely. The school spirit is high, especially against rivals such as CU, Wyoming, UNC and AF. Our athletic programs are decent, some are better than others, but I think it’s on an upward spiral. The “Rocky Mountain Showdown” between CU and CSU is one of the oldest rivalries west of the Mississippi and is a great time to be a proud CSU Aries. In truth, the campus and the city are incredible and help make CSU a great school as it is.
