Some majors are better than others at Harvard and the school isn’t for everyone, but the extracurricular activities here are really outstanding. They’ve given me opportunities and fully-funded travel that I don’t think I could have gotten at any other school.
View moreLiterally, it is everything you read or hear about. It is just fantastic, and everyone here is such a lovely, passionate, and amazing human being. When I moved in and realized that everyone here is just a gorgeous person, my first anxiety that it wouldn’t feel like a good fit for me or that it would be too pretentious was quickly dissipated. I have no reservations about recommending Harvard. Although Harvard does not have all the answers, there are still a ton of options available to its students. I’ve been all around the world thanks to Harvard programs. I am fluent in two languages. I have had the opportunity to interact with and learn from top historians and political scientists. Once you discover them, the locals are amazing.
View moreThe university has incredible resources and can make any vision a reality. If you have an idea for a business, research, or anything else the university will have ways for you to obtain the necessary information, meet the right experts, and receive the necessary feedback. Nonetheless, amidst this bounty of resources for someone not accustomed to so many advantages, it can be very difficult to navigate and figure out what is important and what one truly seeks out in the college experience. So, I wish there’d be more mentorship and support for students. The classes and professors, however, are for the most part extremely invested in their students and in their research; every professor has office hours and strongly encourages students to make use of them (something I learned is not true in a number of other places). Overall, it is an incredible opportunity to have gone to this university, and I hope that the institution improves and moves toward more student integration and better mentorship.
View moreI would whole heartedly recommend Harvard. Like any institution, it is not perfect, but the opportunities Harvard provides its students are overwhelming. Through Harvard programs, I have traveled the world. I have learned two languages. I have met, and studied under, leading scholars in history and political science. The people here, once you find them, are remarkable. I learn from listening to them. I would never want to study anywhere else.
