We Don’t Have Enough Respect – At first glance, many people deride Baruch College for being part of the CUNY system, which has had a bad reputation in the past. It is best known for its business program, but it also has a decent public affairs school. Some students come to Baruch thinking the workload will be light, but they are surprised. A lot is asked of students. The students compete with students from the best schools, but are often looked down upon for coming from a CUNY school. However, people who know Baruch all give rave reviews and call it CUNY’s best kept secret. We have an excellent library, free mentoring center and career center. Baruch also has a free laptop loan program, loan calculators (very limited), and many other great resources. There is no excuse for failing at this school. You really get what you put into it.
