It’s a good course with a lot of theory-based work – don’t do the course if you want purely practical work. Despite this, it’s a decent balance of the two depending on the module you do. The modules are engaging, and relevant, and encourage independence in your learning. The resources are good- I wish there would be better communication at times from lecturers but the unprecedented pandemic made this difficult for all those involved in the course. The online theory work taught was very useful and practical work was adaptable and interesting at times.
View moreI love the theatre degree at the University of York. There is a range of modules that touch on things like theatre design and comedy. There are lots of opportunities to act and write theatre. There are also lots of opportunities to design sets and get involved in drama societies. I love the creative freedom you can attain.
