Media and Comm - Not bad but could be more practical

Our lecturers are very professional and knowledgeable, they are also excellent teachers. My course is a sociology course, therefore it is more research-based, however, I find the course less practical than it should be. Since it is media, students would expect to have at least one practical module per semester let it be creative (production/editing/photography/ videography) or more analytical (excel/ statistics software).
