My experience at the University of Surrey has been extremely positive and has exceeded many of my expectations. As a Business Management with Marketing student, I have particularly enjoyed modules such as Marketing, Business Data and Organisational Behaviour, as they combine academic theory with real-world business situations. The lecturers and teaching staff are knowledgeable and approachable, and I have found that there is support available when you need additional guidance.

What has stood out most to me is how much Surrey offers beyond the classroom. Getting involved with Surrey Capital Research has allowed me to develop my commercial awareness, research and analytical skills while meeting other ambitious students. Opportunities like this have made my university experience feel much more valuable than simply studying towards a degree.

Campus life is another major positive. Stag Hill has a welcoming atmosphere, with the library, Students’ Union, Surrey Sports Park and social spaces creating a strong student community. Guildford is also a great student location, as you have everything you need nearby while still having easy access to London.

If I could improve one aspect, it would be the way some assessment deadlines can fall close together, which can make certain periods quite demanding. However, this has also taught me to become more organised and independent with my workload.

I would definitely recommend the University of Surrey to future students. It offers a strong combination of academic learning, career development, extracurricular opportunities and campus life. For me, Surrey has not simply been somewhere to study; it has been somewhere I have been able to develop professionally, build my confidence and become clearer about the career I want to pursue.

I would reccomend Surrey Business School, they have a great variety of modules throughout the years which are relevant and transferrable to the workplace. I was also impressed with the placement scheme and the suuport receieved when looking for placement.

Surrey will forever be my home away from home. I have graduated last year but I still kept in touch will all my professors and friends. This university helped me in so many ways and made me the professional I am today. At the moment I work at McKinsey and I love my job. Without my BSc in Economics from Surrey I highly doubt I would have been able to achieve all that I did. So lets go by steps best and worse about surrey. Best: everyone knows each other, non-competitive environment and the placement year. If you ask me everyone should do a placement I did mine in the UK government as an economic advisor. Not only it looked great at my cv and gave a safety option after I graduated from the University of Surrey but it also allowed me to graduate without debt. And I cannot stress enough how nice that is. Since day one at Surrey they will give you the tools to land the best internships, part times and jobs at the end. During my time I worked as an ambassador for three companies, did 2 summers and one placement. All thanks to Surrey. Also University Life at Surrey is amazing. I will always miss Rubix. I’ve learned a lot in Surrey and feel like I’ve grown a lot. Everything is included for international study financing. Not only did I get an international scholarship in Surrey, but I also had the opportunity to play many roles in my studies. I am very grateful to the business school
