One of the main reasons I wanted to study Fine Art was to learn skills in scroll disciplines like new media, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture and this degree more than delivered on that for me. With the facilities available and the skilled technicians that are always ready and willing to help and teach my goal was more than fulfilled. While I found my tutors supportive and good at giving constructive criticism, my only downside is the fact that that wasn’t the same experience for some of my coursemates, whose interests more in painting as the focus of the course seemed to want to pish everyone to a contemporary approach and thus in some cases felt like it was neglecting painting as a discipline.
