The University of Nottingham has a welcoming feel to it with beautiful grounds and period style buildings. There are good facilities on site, a great library and bookshop (perfect for my degree – English Lit), lots of food/drink options, and it’s very easy to get into the city centre with various bus stops dotted about campus. The course was varied and very enjoyable, with third year module options being a particular highlight. The only downside was the compulsory Medieval English module which i found served no purpose then or now. Overall I loved my time at the University and in the city and would recommend it for someone looking for a new and exciting adventure, but doesn’t want to be overwhelmed by the vastness of cities like London and Manchester.
