University of Northampton (reviews)

I completed both my higher diploma & Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Counselling in a Singapore based private institution which was affiliated with UON.

I did not physically attend classes in the UK at UON so I cannot really make any comments about that aspect. This review will be mainly about the curriculum of my programmes.

Both programmes are packed full of modules so it can be quite intense & fast paced which would mean you would need to be rather disciplined in attending classes & completing your school work. For my diploma, I completed about 16 modules in a year whilst for my degree, I completed about 8 mods on top of my thesis. It definitely sounds like a lot when I break it down like this & it was but thankfully, my lecturers then were really helpful whenever I had any doubts or needed any rerouting during drafting of essays.

I completed both my diploma & degree within a span of 3 years. I’m really glad I was able to complete my higher education so quickly & venture out to the working world. I currently work in a very interactive environment where I learn to deal with various people & situations daily. Every day is same same yet different. My psychology knowledge has helped shaped my perspective & the way I react & handle day to day events.

I highly recommend this program over at UON.

The course started in a great manner we got introduced to our tutor, who made sure our needs where attended, however covid it and the quality of the course declined. online classes and no support what so ever, we needed a placement and students had to find somewhere by themselves. with no support. alternatively we did a assingment on the same topic and propects for the future. so a lot of students on my year left without any groundwork.
Even during the 3rd year where covid started dissipating, the help we got was barely anything, on my dissertation the only option was for online meetings that were provided in january onwards because the lecturer that was due to help with the dissertation quit and they failed to find a replacement, the instruments provided werent as good in first year. however to the 2 year students they are now offering places in oxford and placement work, which we didnt get.
needless to say that it wasnt worth £30,000 for 3 years of online classes.

As an international student from India, I got the wonderful opportunity to become a part of the University of Northampton. The classes started in 2022 February and am reached her by the middle of February. So I missed two sessions but by gods grace, all the previous sessions till march 2022 are recorded.

One of my best choices as an overseas student was to attend the University of Northampton. At the university, I’m pursuing a BA in Creative Film, TV, and Digital Media Production. They offer a wide range of services to those of us studying filmmaking. They offer access to a wide range of cameras, lighting, and other audio equipment to us.T hese include digital cinema cameras from RED, Black Magic, Sony, and Canon as well as DSLRs from Canon, Sony, and Nikon. Additionally, the university offers a variety of lighting systems, accessories, and even film editing facilities for the students to use when editing their short films and documentaries. All of our instructors are actively employed in the field, highly motivated, and subject matter experts. This demonstrates that the methods and procedures taught at the institution are current best practises, and it also attests to their friendliness and willingness to assist us. Along with free rentals of filmmaking equipment, each student receives a 3-year membership to Adobe, Microsoft, and LinkedIn training. As a filmmaker, this is significant since it allows me to launch a media firm without incurring any further costs. The University of Northampton also assists us in setting up and acquiring the necessary skills to launch a business while we are enrolled in classes there. The different services offered at our university astounded the students of other highly regarded universities with whom I spoke.  Our University of Northampton is welcoming, and I had the opportunity to interact with many students from other nations

I knoww the English I selected odd but true , my experience at first was like most first year students excited and happy for freedom, although frankly I struggled a lot in my second year and hadn’t made friends good for myself. I felt a lot isolated trying to make decisions best for myself and the well being team though I found annoying at first with the weekly phone calls, HELPed sooo much. We would catch up and some weeks she was my only friend, I honestly accept and believe Northampton university care not about only about our grades but about who we are as individuals and embrace it. First year it felt like another mother , but carrying on to graduate and years after I couldn’t have done it without that extra support, and I appreciate all the effort they put in as I didn’t my family support at this time, they made me feel home

I look how inclusive the university of Northampton is in terms of people of different backgrounds and ages come together to study and spend their free time to be around people with the same passions, I also like how the university reciprocate your energy in terms of being eager to learn as a student and also being eager to teacher as the staff

University of Northampton is a lovely university, with amazing facilities. I would highly recommend it to other students who are willing to learn. Overall, the culture is actually amazing here for anyone looking for a good environment to learn in

I like the way teacher taught here. Ambience of university is beyond my imagination. Learning here is fun with new ways. We have all the facilities in the university, transportation, wifi, eating corner and many more. Students came here from different countries which make this university multi cultural university.
