I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the University of Liverpool in the past three years! The first year accommodation is very modern, clean, and students are well looked after by members of staff. One of the accommodations is a lot further from campus (around a 20 minute bus journey) but it is set in a park near to the second and third year living area, and there is a heavily discounted bus ticket (£60) for the year that makes it worth it!!
On my course, I have enjoyed the wealth of knowledge from my lecturers within the field of Psychology as there are a range of specialties that the department have experts in! If you are interested in a specific area, the department are always looking for helpers so it is easily to get involved in research and learn more.
In relation to societies, the University of Liverpool has too many societies to count from standard societies such as Snow Sports, Football, Rugby, Dance etc to more quirky societies such as Hat Soc., BeyBlade Soc., and Karting Soc! There is something for everyone to get involved in and the majority of sports societies are competitive so there is a chance to travel the country to compete!!
Finally, I would highly recommend taking part in a semester abroad as I did this during my second year and it elevated my whole university experience! The university has a number of partner universities across the globe that allow students to study there for four months while experiencing a new culture and way of life. I lived in Canada for four months, in Montreal, and had the best four months of my life living and travelling around Canada and the United States of America!
