Some of the best memories of my life!

As someone who didn’t want to attend a uni in a large city but also still wanted the full experience, Lincoln was perfect for me. The city is the perfect size in my opinion, everything is so easily accessible you never need taxi’s after nights out or literally any other form of transport to get to or from campus. I lived in student halls for the first year which was perfect for establishing those early friendships that you keep throughout the years. The halls were basic but exactly what you need when first starting, not too bad in terms of cost either.
In second year and third year i moved into a shared house with my friends, this was so easy to do as there are many letting agents that are all experienced in helping students move into shared houses in the area. Our house was great and only 10 mins walk from campus/the main town centre.

The course was pretty decent, there was always a fair amount of choice for modules which meant you always were able to follow your own interests by having more control over which modules you choose. Facilities were always really impressive for my course in particular, as we have our own theatre that we use regularly for workshops and rehearsals. For any other rehearsals there were always spaces available around campus to book out for hours at a time undisturbed. The university library has a wide variety of books/materials available as well as plenty of computers/laptops and spare rooms available for a variety of different types of rehearsals/sessions. As far as facilities go, everything is very easily accessible and there was always people around in the support area to help with any kind of issue.

My lecturers/tutors were always helpful and always had some important insight in order to push students to achieve their best. I am truly grateful to many of them for the effort and care they all put in.

The nightlife within the city and the student union nights out were always pretty solid. There’s some variety in the types of nights out on each day of the week and of course, living near campus means its only 10 minutes walk away.
Extracurricular activities were always available and although I wasn’t part of a society whilst I was there, I know many people who were and they loved being involved in one.

Overall the University of Lincoln is a great one to choose, there are so many incredible memories I have of attending here. I have built life skills I now can use in my future career from the experience. I 100% recommend this university.
