TESOL, I chose the module in my second year which was optional and from the first lecture knew I would love it. The TESOL teaching staff were fantastic and made the effort to engage with students to help them achieve their best.
Unfortunately, the languages department announced that my year would be the last languages year group as they were going to close this department. Coupled with complete disorganisation arranging the year abroad (COVID stopped anyone from going but the planning from the university kept changing and again felt very unsupported). There were only a handful of students left in final year and we did not receive the best support from staff (again I understand they will have been stressed out themselves trying to find work) but felt it was criminally unfair to pay over £9000 for little to no help.
I had a fantastic year at the University of Hull as a master’s student. The excellent facilities at the institution and opportunities for hands-on training significantly improved my educational experience. I was able to understand complex courses because of the knowledgeable and committed lecturers.
Hull, with its thriving urban environment and diversified cultural scene, made my stay at the university more exciting. The university’s unwavering dedication to inclusiveness and diversity was what most struck me. It produced a friendly environment where kids from all backgrounds felt appreciated.
In conclusion, my time at the University of Hull has been a crucial and rewarding chapter in my academic career. It has given me important information, useful skills, and a larger perspective on the world. I’m appreciative of the lifelong relationships and experiences I made over this exceptional year.
View moreThe University of Hull is a buoyant and conducive environment for active learning and achievement. It is a great institution of academic excellence and knowledge in many areas. The staff and leadership are very hands-on and dedicated to independent thinking/motivation. The school has expansive facilities and a variety of platforms and services for personal growth, enhancement and support. It has been a rewarding experience and I have thoroughly enjoyed making use of my time at the school.
View moreIt was a hands-off approach to learning, the student was allocated a lot of free time during the week. This was to allow self-studying, going for classes would net you a good grade as the content would be sufficient but for the higher grades, a lot of library (or home studying) would be required to fully under the depths of the modules.
View moreThe University of Hull is great for many things. It provides great facilities, the city is good for students and the nightlife is fun. As well as this, we also have one of the best medical training departments in the UK. Overall I would say that the University is good. I had a good experience here for four years, I made good friends, I enjoyed my course and my lecturers were really knowledgeable and helpful. However, in recent years, the Universities involvement in some controversial issues and their lack of funding for students in need has started to show. It sometimes feels as though the university cares more for profit than for their students and staff. Despite this, it does still provide students with a good education and good facilities which is why the university continues to climb the ranks on the leaderboard.
View moreThe University of Hull is a great university to attend. The city is small, and easy to navigate for home students and international students, alike.
The facilities of the university, coupled with the lecturers and everyone within the university community make your experience smooth, interesting and worthwhile.
View moreUnethical law department that invites judges who conduct oppression and violation of human human rights. Employs lecturer Niaz who attacks innocent visitors to the University. If this is the representation of the law department then God help us all.
View moreThis university has no moral or ethical values. Despite thousands of complaints it allowed a corrupt Pakistani judge to attend a training program. This judge violated human rights and delivered an unconstitutional judgement on orders of Pakistani officials. In return for his biased judgement he was gifted this UK trip to Hull.
