I studied Media Design & Production at the University of Derby and overall I would say my experience was mixed. There were parts of the course I really enjoyed, especially getting the chance to be creative and work on different practical projects rather than everything just being classroom based.
The lecturers were generally helpful and knowledgeable, although I did feel the quality of some parts of the course could vary depending on the module. There were times where I would have liked a bit more guidance and clearer feedback on the work we were doing.
I gained useful experience from the course and enjoyed the practical and creative side of it. I think it is a decent choice for someone interested in media, but there are definitely areas that could be improved.
