As a second-year student at Swansea University, my overall experience has been positive. One of the main things I like about Swansea is the campus location. Being right next to the beach creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The teaching quality has generally been good, with lecturers who are knowledgeable and supportive. Most are approachable and willing to help if you ask questions or need clarification. The workload is manageable, although it can be intense at certain points in the semester, particularly around deadlines and exams.
In terms of student life, Swansea offers a good balance. There are plenty of societies and sports clubs, which makes it easy to meet new people and get involved. The city itself is smaller and quieter compared to larger university cities, which I personally enjoy.
Overall, I would recommend Swansea University, especially to students who value a strong sense of community, and a supportive learning environment. While there are areas that could be improved, such as access to support services and the range of city activities, my experience as a second-year student has been largely positive.
