As a result, what is now UWTSD operates on three main campus in Wales – at Carmarthen, Lampeter, and Swansea and also at its campus in London, England. Additionnally, the institution also has learning centres in Cardiff, Wales, and Birmingham, England. Approximately 10,000 students at under- and postgraduate levels attend the university, the vast majority of which are undergraduates.

Studying at UWTSD

Studies at the institution are organised into the following schools and faculties: the Faculty of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering, Swansea College of Art, the Faculty of Business and Management, the Faculty of Education and Communities, the Faculty of Humanities and Performing Arts, the Academy of Sinology, Wales International Academy of Voice, and the London Campus.

UWTSD also runs summer schools for international students which usually last 3-4 weeks. Students come from all over the globe to the summer school from the university’s partner institutions such as Douglas College in Vancouver, Canada, and Wuhan Institute of Technology in China.

Life as a UWTSD Student

The university’s Students’ Union oversees and helps with many aspects of student life. One such aspect is accommodation arrangements. There are student residences available on campus at UWTSD’s three main campus, but students may also organise private rented accommodation off campus.

As for student activities, sport plays a big part of life at the university. Among the options are archery, cricket, fencing, and lacrosse which are supported by the indoor and outdoor sporting facilities on the various campuses. Rugby, as it is all over Wales, is particularly popular at the institution, and has a long history in Lampeter particularly.
