University of Southampton’s Aeronautics and Astronautics programme focuses on important physics and math concepts through theoretical, experimental and computational analysis. Throughout the duration of the course, core modules are taught in either in person lecture halls and classrooms or sometimes through online live lectures or pre-recorded lectures. Laboratory classes that focus on aerodynamics, propulsion, materials and structures (and more) concepts help aid the understanding of these fundamental concepts. Group design projects and reports provide the students a practical and collaborative nature to the course which would aid in future work prospects and endeavours. The university uses the BlackBoard site for providing lecture content, problem sheets and quizzes remotely to students. The professors are interactive and highly responsive to any queries that the student has. Personally, I’ve found all my professors to deliver content in an informative and cohesive way. The professors also release a mid-semester survey to collect information on how well the students find the course or if there are any queries. For my course in particular, the students get to automatically be a part of the University’s SpaceFlight Society and we also get constant updates and information on lectures related to the content delivered by external sources such as RAes and also on job opportunities. Overall, I find the course to be well put together and my experience with regards to it has been nothing but positive.

The university have a great curriculum for learning, course structure is well designed and specially for researchers they have fair chance. University have collaborations with good industries and educational institutes which give researchers edge.

The university of Southampton provides a lot of amazing facilities and professors. The professors here are very helpful and support their students. In addition, they also got a support system for students which knows as a personal academic tutor PAT, this PAT can help students throughout their studies academic and mentally. The students here are very cheerful and lovely. This university offers a variety of pathways.

The university is good. It has different clubs and societies for you to engage in. The lecturers on the other hand are just good. Some are ok and some are not. I would suggest to opt for the uk campus not the Malaysia campus

It’s a good university providing the necessary facilities to help understand the chosen path and assist in any issue whenever required. The online learning platform has helped a lot however the availability of lecturers to ask doubts and questions via email is an added benefit.
