I really like the University of Sheffield and I received a very good learning experience in my major. The learning environment is very friendly and diverse and takes very good care of us international students. At the same time, the school is extremely strong academically and any communication I have had with teachers here has been very beneficial. The only downside is that there are times in the spring term when teachers go on strike and this affects learning to some extent. I remember that in the spring term, if you don’t count Introduction week, I probably only had four weeks of classes and the rest was self-study, which is slightly unfair to international students, as our tuition fees are very expensive and not being able to attend classes affects us more. However, if students are looking for a good academic atmosphere and a friendly environment, I would still recommend the University of Sheffield.
