I love the University of Sheffield. The city’s vibe is charismatic, charming and friendly. There is something for everyone here, particularly for nature lovers, with the peak district just a stone’s throw away! The education itself is great too, providing great resources and materials to help you in your journey into adulthood, both academically and personally. I believe it’s a great choice for anyone, no matter their background or interests.

One of the main reasons for picking Sheffield was due to its module choices which have been really interesting and unique in their own way. My favourite ones were definitely macroeconomics and introduction to international relations which also provided me with new interests to which I may pursue in the future. Moreover, I have definitely made the most of career progression opportunities by attending a virtual internship experience and a climate delegation event. Being the number one students union, the university has a wide range of societies which I’m sure there will be one for everyone’s hobbies! I’ve met so many amazing people and can’t wait for the next couple of years! For the moment cannot think of any things I didn’t quite like.

I think the university is one of the lowest reputation-wise out of the Russel group universities and is clinging on to that accreditation to hold some value. It also relies heavily on the large influx of international students who boost the university outlook fro an outside perspective in terms of global rankings. There are a few standout departments which carry the others which are not on par with other unis of similar ranking or reputation. I liked the city and the extracurricular aspect and coverage that the uni and the students union offered.

I have loved my three years till now at the University of Sheffield, I feel it offers a safe and friendly environment to experiment with one’s personality and helps students navigate who they want to be in the real world once they graduate.
I am always amazed at the wide variety of opportunities it offers students to shine in varied fields. I believe this university’s teachings are very much embedded in practicality.

The infrastructure is world-class and so is the faculty. The University has a very student-friendly environment. The campus is located in the heart of the city of Sheffield. There are various student accommodations around the campus which makes living there really convenient.

The University of Sheffield is one of the best places in the world. It’s the perfect mix of getting a higher education and it is SO MUCH FUN! The student’s union has been voted #1 in the country for the last 10 years, and THERES a reason for it! Nightlife is mint.

The university is amazing! The students union is the best in the country for the last 10 years and it shows – they offer so many amazing events, nights out and services. The student support is excellent and the library is one of the best in the country.

The teaching quality varies from subject to subject but I have mostly positive things to say about my department. Yes there could be some improvements but that’s always the case.
