Sheffield Hallam University has changed my life; being a student here has changed my perspective on education; it has completely changed my perception of university life as challenging because I was able to obtain what I required with ease. The university has everything in place, so you don’t have to worry about getting it right or wrong; they’re always there to help me when I need it. Talking about living here, even the smallest rooms are fairly roomy, and they are quite contemporary. I would strongly suggest this to all.

So I’ve always had a love for Literature, a bit of a bookworm, and a home bird too! My reasons for choosing Sheffield Hallam came down to one thing … The friendly atmosphere, and sense of community every time I entered a Hallam building! The Staff and Students are just radiant with the Yorkshire kind-hearted, welcoming spirit! And it’s infectious. Rumour has it, once you move to Sheffield, you’ll never leave! Hallam a hub of educational brilliance! The time I’ve spent there has been nothing but a pleasure! Now whether that’s because I am a self-proclaimed Book Geek or because of the wonderful courses I know the Staff deliver daily, across a range of subjects is debatable… Hallam accepts everyone, with open and loving arms. Whether you’re a bookworm like me, a sports maniac like our varsity teams (who are just remarkable on the fields), or the next Steve Jobs – Hallam, and Sheffield are just waiting for you to jump in and join the fun. My accommodation at exchange works is good as it is located between both the city centre and the university, the facilities are good also. __I enjoy my course (English Literature BA) and find the contact time sufficient for learning, the staff are all very helpful when needed. However I have found that the assessment tasks are not always made clear.__I have struggled to settle in to the university environment so far however upon reaching out for help from student support have received a lot of help and information which has made it easier for me to attend university more regularly. __Overall I have been very satisfied with my experience of Sheffield Hallam university.
