The university Is great and provides amazing support for both home and international students.
However I’m in the business school, and for my course, we had more theoretical learning than practical, of which practical learning was more of what I wanted initially.

View moreSalford was a great university. The teaching was great, the student services were great, the courses had various resumption times across the year and that’s one reason I went to the school because I got in January.
There’s a lot of off campus accommodation available nearby and the business school was located in the Salford Quays by the BBC NW headquarters which gave some characters and flavour to the Business School. There was a fre bus service to the Business School at Salford Quays.
The learning was well structured and the assignments were great to help develop knowledge and research skills. Library facilities were great too.
The fees were reasonably priced in comparison to other universities.
I wanted to do a placement but was unable to get a place though the university put in a lot of effort.
View moreThe programme allows us to understand the economic and business-related challenges that organisations could face and analyse them through real-life examples and case studies to make sure we understand the different concepts in great depth and detail. The tutors are always happy to help and respond to any queries by email very promptly. There are many drop-in sessions throughout the week and during assessment periods to make sure we fully understand what we need to do and what is required to achieve the best marks on said assessments. The course was just as I expected it to be with modules in both business management and economics. At level 5 we will be allowed to choose modules so if you want to do more economic modules or business modules you can. Overall, I really like and enjoy the business management and economics course and would highly recommend it to someone who wants to do both business and economics like myself.
