Nottingham is a beautiful city with a top leading university in it. It has alot of campuses but my campus is really beautiful with a mode architecture and well equipped laboratories and class rooms. Location is also very good.
View moreI completed my undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the main campus of UoN, University Park campus. I started my first year on the BSc course because my A-level grades weren’t as good as I needed them to be for a master’s degree. But after doing well in my first-year exams, I moved onto the MSci Chemistry course with an international study year which was really easy to do. So, I had to prepare for a study year abroad, during the third year of my degree. I got a lot of help and support with those preparations and help with finances. The campus is very green but not isolated. Nottingham town is 30-40 mins walk from the campus and there are frequent buses into town. The chemistry laboratories are well equipped and there is a lot of support from staff on the course. The lecturers are very good and quite famous in the scientific world. Libraries and computer room facilities are great; free ICT help and laptop rentals, group study areas in library and the computer rooms are open 24/7. I highly recommend staying at Raleigh Park. The best off-campus self-catered accommodation. It’s next to Jubilee campus, so 20-30 mins walk to University Park campus, and there are lots of social activities at the halls during fresher’s week.
