I love everything about the school as it gives room for all international students not minding your race or religion. I had opportunity to participate in student affair as an education officer and in another year as Student President. Meeting people from diver culture and continent is a lifetime experience. Not forgetting the conducive learning environment and accommodation.
The study pace is just top notch while the technology or equipment used at the laboratories are modern equipment.

View moreI am studying chemical engineering at the University of Nottingham. My department is located on the main campus of University Park and the campus is very nice with lovely parks, lakes and grounds. It is well equipped with technical facilities such as laboratories, lecture halls and a library. This course will prepare you 100% for the industry from day one. The Studentenwerk is well stocked with grocery stores and shops. UoN is also the #1 sports university with state-of-the-art gyms for both average citizens and elite athletes, and many dedicated programs for people of all abilities.
View moreI thoroughly enjoy my programme. As a first-year I like that most of my modules do a bit of revision before starting new content. For instance, in Chemistry, we reviewed some stoichiometry and bonding before learning new content.
View moreOverall, the university experience has been great. Within my course, I felt that the transition from A-Level to University was very comfortable and I didn’t feel like I was behind at all. The pre-written notes provided by all my lecturers was a blessing and meant that I didn’t have to worry about missing any important information as the lecturer is speaking (not all lecturers record their lectures so having these notes saves quite a lot of time).
My first-year experience in a catered hall was lovely. The food mainly had its good days and the ‘family vibe’ was really present throughout the formals, daily dinner times and other events organised within our halls. The hall was also a good distance away from my engineering buildings, the Student Union shops and the gym.
At first, the high hills were a bit difficult to climb up and down but after a while, you get used to them and it feels like a nice short workout before lectures! There are more flat paths around the university too.
The societies are easy to join and all have been welcoming to freshers and even those who join halfway through the year (you don’t always have to sign up for everything right at the beginning).
Overall, my experience has been wonderful and I am looking forward to moving into a new house with friends from my hall next year!
