I loved my time at this university. The amount of support I received was truly commendable.

Although it does depend on the professors you had. The lack of email quantity is something to be improved however I learnt a lot of lessons whilst here.

University overall is very good! Would 100% recommend! Loved the societies and the atmosphere however some of the lectures are not as helpful as other and lack detail so very hard to do independent reading.

I started at Nottingham Trent in 2019 – excited to embark on this new educational journey and make some life-long friends. Unbeknownst to me there would be a worldwide pandemic that would destroy thousands of lives and any dreams I had of having a normal degree. The COVID-19 lockdown impacted everyone’s mental health, especially university students. As my mental health started to deteriorate and I fell behind with lectures I began to worry that I wouldn’t make it to see my graduation day. My friend helped me reach out to my tutor and head of year about how bad I was doing. After this we managed to come up with a plan together as to how I would carry out the rest of the assessments that year, I was also offered 6 weeks of counselling sessions and every week I was called by the well-being centre at uni to check up on me. I remember talking to friends at other universities about the support I had received and I was shocked to find out that this same level of support wasn’t received everywhere. Due to the amazing mental health team and the help of my tutors I was able to graduate this year with a 2:1, I am so incredibly grateful still!

It’s a really good university with good teaching and facilities to help you do well in your course. The staff are really supportive and friendly – the night life in Nottingham is really great especially with Trent being so close to all the clubs and bars. Even though it isn’t a russel group uni, it has improved massively in terms of teaching quality
