A business cannot survive if its products are not marketed in the proper way. Luckily for all the businesses out there, the number of candidates wanting to pursue a marketing career is growing tremendously.
The aim of this degree is to help students anticipate, manage, and satisfy customers’ needs and wants. By doing so, they will be able to effectively communicate the benefits of any business product to the targeted market.
Due to the fact that marketing is a complex industry, which tackles many areas ranging from market research to advertising and promotion, this degree focuses on all parts of the process before concentrating on a particular area of study.
Good news for marketing graduates! If you did not know yet, marketing is an essential aspect of all types of businesses, from all sectors of activity. Thus, all of them rely on marketers to promote and sell their products. A high market demand comes with many job opportunities available.
According to Labor Department Findings, graduates with a marketing degree can earn 98% more per hour than the ones working in the industry without having a specialised degree.
Furthermore, students are equipped with transferable skills, such as excellent communication abilities, strategic thinking, planning, data analysis and so on, that can be used in other industries too.
Marketing degrees can be studied either as Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). The major difference lies in the presence of more scientific and technological aspects, which are commonly seen in a BSc rather than a BA.
Like most degrees, marketing courses last between three and four years, depending on the university. However, there are institutions which give students the possibility to do a two-year associate’s degree – also called a ‘foundation’ degree.
Even if graduating from both degrees qualifies candidates to work in this industry, a Bachelor degree has higher chances to lead you to well-paid jobs.

View moreBy and large, the teaching in my course has been exceptionally clear. The faculty members are well-prepared and adept. There are numerous opportunities available, such as engaging in consultancy projects, partnering with local brands, and accessing LinkedIn courses to enhance skills beyond the academic domain. I am confident in both what I have learned and how effectively I can apply it in the industry.

View moreWhile in Trento, I studied architecture on the city’s campus. The Arkwright building was in the center of town, about 5 minutes from the Victoria Shopping Center and a 10 minute walk from the Market Square, which was a great location. There is always someone in Newtonville who needs help. Dyslexic, I signed up to receive study assistance and meetings were easily arranged. My course could have been better organized – even the teachers knew this could be improved as they pushed deadlines at the last minute multiple times due to poor organization rice field. I don’t think I received all the information I needed to continue building after I graduated so they could sign my pcia. Considering I already owed him over £25,000, I wish I had known about this extra time and expense in college. The Trent fraternity is really good – every Saturday night at SU Peak and his LDOT day and night is really fun. Cheap food and drink during the day, perfect for a hangover stopover, and ticket sales at night like Ocean and Rock City. They have Thursday Rock City Nights Pres and made it easy for us to get drunk cheaply.

View moreI really liked my course overall, as I had no experience with marketing before starting it and still managed to successfully finish it with a first class degree. There were some modules that were a little too long.
View moreNottingham Trent University is a great place to study. I study at the Clifton campus outside the city. There’s a cool modern sorority called this brand new cheap food and drink shop! There is also a great library, very convenient stores and other places to eat. The new hall, one of the halls in the square, is also beautiful. It’s worth the extra money. It has a nice modern bedroom and a kitchen where you can make a lot of friends. My primary education course is also great and all the teachers are very supportive. I would definitely recommend it.
View moreI studied fashion marketing and branding and loved the course. So interactive and fun to work with live brands. The social life at uni made it 100x better with societies like snow sports and cocktail socials.
