The teaching is good and the lecturers explain topics clearly. Seminar classes help with deeper understanding and class participation.
The university focuses a lot on employability and runs many useful career events. There are also plenty of activities to get involved in. It is supportive of students who work part-time or are mature students.
Overall, I would recommend it.
It’s a great school, they are straightforward with the courses and lecturers put their best in teaching. In business the different conferences and events they always have set makes the course more interesting and exciting
View moreMy overall best take was the quality of the tutors and I also found the facilities to be pretty good. I did not enjoy the social element and often felt isolated. I was also not a huge fan of the nightlife in the area.
View moreI had a brilliant time studying for three years at Nottingham Trent. The tuition was well delivered – we had a variety of courses, opportunities and experiences that expanded our skillset. My accommodation in my first year was so close to the city campus, which is compact but a lovely environment with great facilities. The gym is such great value and so well equipped! Nottingham itself is a fab city to be in, particularly for students of the Art and Design college as it has a great creative scene – the Contemporary always has interesting exhibitions, there are multiple theatres and cinemas, and NTU’s very own Bonnington always has interesting events and exhibitions to go and experience. The night life is brilliant, there are numerous bars, restaurants and coffee shops, and if you need a bit of an escape the Arboretum, or (slightly further afield) is Wollaton Deer Park which is beautiful in all seasons. The public transport (buses and trams) couldn’t be easier!
View moreAs a third-year student in the BA (Hons) Marketing program at Nottingham Trent University, my experience has been genuinely rewarding.
The teaching quality is exceptional, lecturers are approachable, passionate, and often bring industry experience into the classroom. The course structure is well thought out, combining theory with hands-on projects and live briefs from real companies, which helped me land a summer internship.
What stood out most was the career support, the Employability Team helped polish my CV, prep for interviews, and connect with employers. The facilities, especially the library and study spaces, are modern, tech-friendly, and perfect for group work.
Student life is vibrant, with societies, events, and a strong sense of community. Living in NTU-managed accommodation in first year made the transition smoother, and I made friends for life.
Studying here has boosted my confidence, skills, and career prospects. NTU truly lives up to its reputation.
