At UEA there is something for everyone, with the LCR providing a range of nightlife events, The Warren providing more low-key events for socialising such as, clay modelling and animal events. The range of activities on offer at UEA are amazing and help you feel at home. I have struggled slightly with how often societies meet and find that most of them only meet up monthly which makes it quite difficult to make friends, but other than that the choice of societies is vast.
My degree is Film Studies and English Literature, which complement each other really well especially with how the different departments teach. The content has been fun and not felt like a drag at all. I am glad I chose UEA and look forward to my second year options.
I have also engaged with the university’s career service which is helpful in finding internships and voluntary roles. I currently work in the university’s food venues which is super flexible and allows me to work around uni.
Overall, I am happy to be a UEA student.

It really does broaden students horizons. However it doesn’t necessarily cater that well to the variety of students taught, as some resources are inaccessible and academics do need to get better at ensuring that their seminars fit the range of neurodiversity within the student body.
