While no place or experience is ever perfect, I would gladly recommend Teesside University. The staff in my department are knowledgeable and passionate and make every effort to help you succeed. Their consistent feedback is invaluable and I have never felt more seen and nurtured in my academic career. The university is also very disability aware and lgbtq+ friendly, with regular events which highlight support and safe spaces. Though there has been problems I have encountered, the way in which the university ensured I was kept in the loop as it being dealt with was incredible. I will be staying on for my masters but I wish the undergrad course was 5 years full time so I could soak up even more.
