Even though I did my masters in the GDI program during the pandemic and everything was online, the university and department went over and beyond to give us students an incredible learning environment and experience. Not only were all the professors professionals in their field, they were also super understanding if any emergencies came up. Overall, UoM was an amazing university and I am glad to have been a part of it.

The university provides critical thinking and allows room for alternative thinking and solutions
Manchester as a city is very big and has large transport network as well as places to make purchases of African food items, clothes and barbershop/saloons. So you will feel at home.
There is alot of diversity at the University and people are friendly and wiling to help. Therefore I would recommend the University of Manchester.
I recommend Msc of International Development as it has many optional modules, a fieldwork trip, and the professors are highly qualified and always willing to help. There is a lot of independent reading. The campus is great, absolutely love it! So many places to relax and study.
