I am thrilled to share my positive experience at the University of West London (UWL), particularly regarding the outstanding student support I received during my time there. From the moment I enrolled, I was impressed by the university’s commitment to ensuring every student’s success.

The student support services at UWL are second to none. The staff genuinely care about the well-being and academic progress of each student. Whenever I faced challenges, whether they were related to my coursework, personal issues, or career aspirations, the dedicated support teams were there to provide guidance and assistance. My Bsc (Hons) was Applied Computing based in the Professional Studies Faculty as my intention was to learn competency in an IT sector vocation. to this end the overall outcome was successful. I went on to work in IT successfully for many years.

Many of the Academics in the faculty had published peer reviewed papers and also Academic books, some of which were included in the curriculum.

The University provide IT laboratory access across multiple sites. My experience of the Class sizes were about right and Tutorial access was generally available when required.

The Campus is somewhat spread out with locations in Ealing, Slough and Reading which can make it difficult for students go from class to class as one may be expected to attend different sites within one day. The University does lay on a free shuttle service but it can be time consuming and unproductive.

The general level of cleanliness is acceptable, and there are various cafes on sites and a Bar in the main Campus in Ealing.

The university has a lot of lectures who have great experience in teaching. The assignments are interesting and challenging. The library is clean and has very comfortable chairs. The campus is clean and modern.

There is always help available and within our reach when we need to inquire about something. The course model is very compact and we’ll organized. The ease of access to other campuses is very commendable

Compared to my undergraduate years, this mode of learning is very hands-on and interactive. The lecturers are friendly and creative with the mode of learning. There is huge emphasis on collaboration between students which I find very valuable

As said in the headline the University of West London is the number one in the UK for student satisfaction. But to be honest I think in terms of material and infrastructure it could take other universities as example. Regarding sports the student union is doing an amazing job but could do better. Regarding the different teams kit, how to join the different clubs, or even their organization as student are left by themselves to do the job. Although it is a good thing that students are their own boss and can manage everything by themselves but a little more help would be much appreciated. And it goes the same with the teaching corp. The student experience is pushed at its fullest and it is really appreciated by students.

As an international student who resumed school 2 weeks into the semester, it was really easy to get the hang of things. There are different people who are eager to help you every step of way. I have been here for only a week and was able to catch up

The most important is that the staff treat every student the same way, everyone has the same opportunity to achieve personal goals. As a mature student, I feel welcome. Furthermore, the staff is very qualified.
