UCL offers a high quality, multidisciplinary research environment which is a very nourishing and encouraging experience for students. The academics are global leaders in higher education and they’re passionate about their field. My supervisors supported me immensely and I always felt privileged to be both a UCL alumna and a current student. The campus is located in the heart of Bloomsbury, which is great if you would like to explore the city by walking. There are many cafes, libraries and bookshops and plenty of study spaces in and around the campus. I would highly recommend studying at UCL both for its research excellence and for its inspiring student journey and career opportunities.
View moreIn my opinion, learning at UCL has made progress which has promoted my ability of independent learning and exploration, and helped me better study the nature of problems and learn to analyze the difficulties I face from a diversified perspective. And in my opinion, courses need to be more balanced. The advantage of course selection is that we can choose courses across colleges. The disadvantage is that our course schedule is not reasonable.
View moreObjectively, I will say UCL has been able to live up to the expectations I had prior to coming. I am especially pleased with the lecture facilities, and for my program, I’m intrigued by the sound bites and director’s seminars that are used to further stir academic and professional engagements. Social life is also top-notch, depending on one’s personality (although for me, I am not really the outgoing type). Beyond the brand, I feel the institution has done well to make me a better person, challenge me, and more profoundly, put me in the midst of world-class thinkers (fellow course mates); from whom I draw so much inspiration.
View moreFantastic professional opportunities provided by the university, as well as brilliant lecturers who provide both a professional and academic insight into the subjects studied. Very social halls in excellent locations.
