View moreI am about to finish my master’s in Cell and Gene Therapy at UCL. It’s a very international university, offering a wide variety of disciplines and other opportunities to develop your personality. The staff is always keen to help you and the professors ask for feedback daily. I gained actual lab experience by doing my research project in an amazing lab that allowed me to offer their research. The location of the university in central London is another exciting feature that lets you discover the city while in uni.
View moreOur programme is fantastic and all of the professors are kindful and knowledgeable. I have learned a lot here. However, all the modules will be 100% assessed by the final exam, which made me quite nervous…
View moreIt seems to me that the program covers the basic knowledge areas of the central topic of the program. It does it in a multidisciplinary way, so the interactions in which we participate become very valuable in terms of the different visions that are held. It is at this same point that some of the classes become more complex for students, depending on the profile. I think that at some points, a balance should be sought so that we can obtain greater performance from the course.
View moreWe have high tuition fee but we do not have many chance to do experiment in lab. Therefore I think maybe we can have more opportunity to do the experiment. Also, I think the assessments are too intensive.
View moreI am impressed by the career centre of UCL who started to guild students to think about their careers at the very beginning of the semester. They offer various consultations like general career path exploration, CV review, mock interview etc, as well as resources like online webinars with people from the industry, providing authentic views of the job market.
View moreI just started, but it seems everything I quite theoretical. Hopefully, when doing my dissertation project I’ll have a more hands-on experience.
There only one exams period after terms 1 and 2 for all modules. This seems to be more complicated than taking exams after each period.
The programme is very specific that I could not find it in any other university around the world. Here I can find various resources which help me to understand my field a lot better rather than just leave it at undergraduate study.
View moreWe have a variety of practical courses and extensive literature reading. We also have some courses related to medical commercialization. these can be very helpful for our future study or work. At the same time, there are abundant student activities here. In a word, life in UCL is really wonderful!
