One of the most prestigious school for social sciences with a focus on economics and finance. Highly qualified professors and very intellectually challenging programs. Student body is diverse and has a vibrant culture. There are wide range of career options.

LSE was founded more than 100 years ago. Its history adds a lot to their knowledge. As it is understood from the name, main education topics are economics and politics. I have done my master degree in Economics and later on got approved by KOC University for a Ph.D. which is the best university at the moment in Turkey. School’s name gives enough reputation and people don’t ask details about how was education. Because everyone knows education is high level as school standing is in top 10 among worldwide schools. Another advantage of the school is its located in one of the perfect cities in the world.

So far everything is perfect, pretty intense but rewarding as well. The time and effort that is dedicated from teachers to student is fantastic and if you really want to learn more and go further there is always help by peers, teachers and professors.

LSE is a great learning environment with excellent professors and endless extracurricular activities. The secret on enjoying LSE is being proactive in making the first move to get involved: the clubs, academic events, and students groups never disappoint. LSE also has outstanding Career services and the aspirational drive of the students can be easily perceived around campus. A very enjoyable place to study and perfect for curious, independent individuals.

Before going to LSE, I thought the social life there would be terrible with people studying 24/7. However, it was so different from what I expected – and I think it all comes down to living in halls for a 1st-year student as you can make friends during freshers week so much easier, and you basically go out with them most of the time. Moreover, I am impressed by the educational support that LSE provided to the students! Regular office hour is provided by the departments so students can seek out their teachers/professors for help if needed, extra support sessions will also be provided during exam period, and a lot of career advice sessions (CV, interview advice etc) throughout the year.

It is a great university, with amazing professors and highly intellectual students. The only concern is the number of spaces in the library which are significantly low especially during exams session.

I am studying abroad in LSE this year and I have to admit that it is a great experience. There are so many things happening around you that it is improssible to follow sometimes. Arguably, there are a lot things to be fixed, but overall it is a great experience. The professors that you are going to encounter are not always the greatest teachers, but they are so knowledgable that there is something that you will get even from the worst prof at lse. As someone said about students here, “everybody is exponentially smart.” That said, you are going to encounter many different personalities, but all the students around you are smart and that is a huge advantage for your personal growth. Yes, it can be very competitive, but you can learn not to care to much.____You will get a great alumni network and you’ll get lectures from people that make decisions about our world. LSE teaches you hw the world works. I am an econ student (and for some reason I think here is the only place that they put econ high and it is an admirable subject (??), you don’t see that a lot in the US.) But be prepare for a lot of math! I guess its a requirement for you to get in but I am telling you it doesn’t get easier on the way! LSE will show you the ugly side of things, that in the end the choices that are made in our world purely depends on opinions and there is not a standard way to think about reality. Therefore, LSE is a challenge and it will push you to your limits. You will get to think, but this is so obvious why did someone will go though with this policy. Discuss! ____Student sarisfaction is so low in this school, because everyobdy here is so smart and people don’t pay much attention to the small details that make the difference. However, LSE remains a great institution with many opinionated and smart individuals. If you want to surround yourself with individuals that can argue about history and elections till 4am, then LSE is a place for you!

LSE has a lot of academic resources and reputable professors, so there are a lot of opportunities. In addition, there is strong academic support for students. The experience really depends on how much effort you put in it. ____The culture is more career-focused than typical university. Depending on individuals this can be a good thing or bad thing. You can be exposed to different career choices that help you to make better decisions, while this may put additional pressure.

Bearing the title of being one of the top economics universities in the world inevitably signifies that academics at this the LSE particularly economics is bound to be challenging. Some of this burden is alleviated by the attentive tutors and top quality resources as well as plethora of co-curricular opportunities to overcome the stress. That said being a non-campus university in the heart of London meets the obvious challenge of having students scattered all over London and a lacking sense of belonging or identity in the university. Forging a stronger sense of belonging and support for the students by holding more in campus activities and programs would help with this cause and alleviate the student satisfaction ranking.

The uni has a very good location, range of students from different backgrounds and nationalities. Large choice of societies and student bodies as well as a challenging and intellectually stimulating academic focus
