Overall the university and the staff are of a high quality and have offered my support through my years here. My academic experience is significantly related to the chosen course which was a new one at time I joined. This has caused many problems regarding the administrative and organisational aspect of the course, despite very interesting and engaging contents. Apart from the academic side, I enjoyed my time at the university a lot, joining societies and making friends.
View moreAlthough Imperial is one of the world’s top universities and has amazing facilities it’s students are extremely lucky to take advantage of, the social side of this university does have some drawbacks. Overall, most Imperial students do come across as quite antisocial. As well as this, the events thrown by the student union may not appeal to the vast majority of students. However, the union do offer a wide variety of societies and clubs.
View moreWords fall short to describe the importance of Imperial to me. The quality of teaching is rated gold in the teaching excellence framework (TEF) so lecturers are incredibly experienced and professional. Imperial is well reputed and consistently ranks among the top 10 universities in the UK in all subjects. As a science specialist university, Imperial excels in its fields producing top quality research. Academically, this university stretches you to achieve your goals and puts you in good stead for your future career. Socially as well Imperial has one of the most clubs and societies available at any UK university allowing people to socialise with others. I know from personal experience that I have made lifelong friends and formed relationships I will treasure forever. I can’t say enough about what Imperial means to me. Thank you Imperial!
View moreOne of the best universities in the world. I was expecting something very high. What I got in contrary was an environment that doesn’t allow you to grow as much because the competition is the only thing that everyone encourages. I love the course and the modules. It would be even greater if the environment was friendlier. The lectures and professors have favouritisms and they push and promote only those students, unfortunately.
View moreImperial college London is truly an excellent university. I absolutely feel like my course is up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and it makes me feel confident about continuing my career within the field. There are excellent teachers there and the course leaders are always open to feedback and certainly make an effort to implement changes were students think its necessary.
I also love how helpful the careers service is, they provide all sorts of opportunities to learn and develop CVs before graduating.
I love the fact that it has so many societies to choose from. There is definitely going to be a society or club orientated around your interests and hobbies. This means the university experience is so much joyful and more than just studying for exams and doing coursework.
View moreMy overall experience at Imperial has been good. The exposure and hands-on practice on advanced technology have been some key features that make it worth it. However, the work load is way more than other universities and there is a lack of organization in some course structures. Students are less hence, societies aren’t that functional or active.
View moreImperial College London. Location, the university main campus, South Kensington, is great. The location could not be more central. There are loads of different activities around and access to tube and buses is easy and nearby. Other campus like Hammersmith are a bit further but still accessible with varied transports. Atmosphere, there is a great deal of societies, events, parties, conferences, seminars, Q
