I believe GCU provides a great learning opportunity where students can be assured of its competency and the quality of the results they intend to achieve. It’s also a great base for networking and meeting people who will be useful in navigating the professional world.

Glasgow Caledonian University has one of the best teaching styles I have come across so far, the lecturers are friendly and ready to help in the best possible ways. There is no power distance displayed between the student and the lecturers, you can practically walk up to any lecturer to ask silly questions and they will still reply to you in a friendly way. The system also assists students who have a problem facing the crowd to boost their morale by making everyone answer questions on the case studies for every lecture. The most surprising thing is even if your answers are wrong they will not tell you straight to your face to make you feel down or not want to talk again in the next module. The constructive criticisms of the lecturers are of top notch. This way students won’t be scared if they have a right or wrong answer to speak in class. The school should make available accommodation for students, most especially international students coming into the country for the first time.

I studied for one year at Glasgow Caledonian University with a student exchange program and it was an amazing experience. GCU made very easy the adaptation for foreign students to the university and provided them with all the necessary help. I really like the teaching and work method of the university, as well as the relationship with professors and other students.

Yes, I recommend it. Lots of choices for lessons, autonomy within the campus. Student life with many activities to choose from. A school that mixes many different cultures. Finally a modern school with a good infrastructure.

I liked the online learning. Lecturers were alight. Union isn’t good.

The campus is nice/modern. Can’t say anything about the accommodation, I’m staying at home.

I like the flexibility between not too many classes (at least for the fourth year), but feel like I could have had an extra class per week? I’ve only got 2 seminars at the moment. (Business Management/Honours year)

The programme is great especially the way of presenting the material by professors. Likewise, the best point is future opportunities and activities for students. Also, all the staff at the campus are really friendly and helpful!

From September to December 2019, I enjoyed a dream semester abroad at Glasgow Scotland University in Scotland. For the first time in my student career, I enjoyed cushioned seats in the large lecture halls and seminar rooms when it was time to attend my International Marketing Strategy, Consumer Buying Behaviour, and European Economics courses. The lecturers on each module were extremely open, kind, and helpful, and fortunately spoke accent-free English. That’s why I understood and passed everything on the spot. The campus itself was also very modern and impressive. The cafeteria offered a very rich menu every day and the view from the eighth floor was simply impressive. I also really liked the library with its many sofas. There was also a lot of literature available in the library, which was something I didn’t know from my German university. Several good term papers and presentations were written there. The students were also really great, very nice and helpful. A large flag with signatures still hangs above my bed. GCU is a beautiful university with great lecturers and students and modern facilities. I can recommend the university to everyone.

Very good course and university. The course provided plenty of opportunities to learn about the theory of business management but also practical aspects that can be transferred into a job after graduating. Furthermore, thoroughly enjoyed the student life and met loads of interesting people from around the world.

GCU has a great modern campus-based right in the middle of Glasgow city centre. It’s fantastic for the student experience because of this. Lots of societies and extracurricular activities to do that enhance the social experience and learning experience.

I thought my programme was good but more could have been done to help the students gauge why they would like to do going forward. Perhaps, with coursework, they could have allowed us to study a broad topic in which we could choose how to specialise by doing reports on independently chosen books/reports, etc. Overall it was good and I felt the tutors helped to the best of their abilities although whilst difficult to manage I felt online learning could have been better
