Student review [#22328] for Dance
at Liverpool John Moores University

Firstly, I feel very lucky to have this amazing university background. The program itself was very intense and physically hard during my first year of education. My classmates and I were literally ´living´ at uni because of the amount of hours and additional rehearsals. Some of my teachers were from the UK, some of them were from Spain (mostly), they were always very responsive. I can admit that the program was getting better year by year: the first year was very hard and sometimes confusing, the second year was interesting (we created our own projects inside of the school), the third year was dedicated to future jobs opportunities (we had many workshops with outside choreographers, practised mock auditions). There is one thing for the school to improve – and that is stability in teaching stuff (many teachers left school, some new ones arrived), school rules (attendance, being late for class, unstable schedule), equipment (for all of the studios: speakers, theatre). Student life is just simply THE BEST. Spain is very welcoming and warm: delicious food, nice people and lots of siestas!
The school is pretty international, but most of the students are from UK/Ireland. After my graduation, I realised how the dancing industry works… And I guarantee that you won’t receive that knowledge during your education.
