King’s College London is one of the most renowned universities in the world. I am currently in the BSc Psychology program and it is by far one of the best I have come across. The variety of module options ranges from Neuroscience to cognition, industrial psychology, clinical psychology, philosophy and more. This allows students the explore various avenues of psychology. I find this quite beneficial as I explore my two favourite fields; clinical and industrial psychology.
Additionally, on the course, every alternate Friday we have lectures from professors and their line of study and current work. This allows students to understand the application of their knowledge to the real world. King’s has its own Neuroscience, Psychiatry and Psychology department and campus, with professors in every field. Not only do we get the best lectures from them, but we also have access to campus and world-class equipment. Aside from the program, King’s has a very vibrant community. I have always felt at home being able to participate in the student union. I was able to be a student ambassador and a first-year psychology representative, There are various platforms to represent King’s and to have a voice. The students union is by far the most welcoming community, by creating events for students to interact and network not only with each other but with role models in one’s respective fields. The student life at King’s is loud, exhilarating and engaging. Every Wednesday, after practice sports teams go to Guy’s bar (King’s underground bar), this is where students get to meet people across courses that have come from different countries to study at King’s. Not to mention, King’s has 5 campuses located around Central London, meaning you are always part of the hustle of the city. King’s is a once in a lifetime experience.
