Academics at Kent Business School

KBS offers 400 degree programmes, including Undergraduate, Postgraduate and MBA Programmes, which encourage innovation. The School’s international faculty has extensive practical experience in their field and ensures that their teaching is relevant to the real-world business environment. The teaching methods used at KBS include lectures and workshops as well as individual and team presentations. The School also offers multiple international study abroad and work placement opportunities, which are a great chance for students to see different parts of the world, explore new cultures and meet new people.

Campus & Student Life

KBS’s two sites in Canterbury and Medway provide a modern study environment promoting collaborative working. Both of its campuses offer high-quality academic and leisure facilities. The Sibson building is KBS’s home in Canterbury. It opened in 2017 and includes lecture and seminar spaces, spaces designed for group work, dedicated rooms for MBA and Postgraduate research students and a café on site. Sail and Colour Loft, a historic building which has been renovated, houses the Business School’s activities on the Medway campus. It includes a lecture theatre, seminar rooms, private study spaces and a computer suite.

The University offers a wide variety of clubs, sports and societies. Kent’s social life is also very diverse with so many food, drink, music and nightlife options, which guarantees that students will always have something to do.

KBS’s career support provides individual support, workshops and skills development events in order to help students to gain the required skills to be successful in their professional careers.
