My experience in Strath Uni was great for the first 2.5 years. The academic part was well rounded and gave a wide scope on both subjects while also implementing projects that helped apply the theory to real-life situations.
The social side was also good, offering hundreds of clubs and societies to join and having incredible gym installations available for students.
However, when the pandemic started the lack of organization and support from the university to international students made it extremely hard to truly engage with our academics. The university increased tuition fees by over £2000 when all classes were online and the university installations were closed. There were minimal aid funds offered to students and no help with tuition reductions, considering most international students come from developing countries, those should’ve been taken into consideration.
