De Montfort University gave me the tools to slay the fashion world and taught me how to survive on instant noodles and last-minute submissions. I studied Fashion Management, and honestly? It was a solid mix of creativity, business know-how, and “why is this printer still broken?” moments.
The professors? Chill but sharp. Some were like academic fairy godmothers, others… more like mysterious side characters who only show up when the plot demands. The modules were relevant, though now and then they felt like they were lagging behind the speed of the actual industry. (Can someone update the tech side, please?)
The real MVP, though? The people. The campus was a global buffet of culture, style, and perspectives, which was super refreshing. Plus, Leicester’s student life was surprisingly decent for a small-ish city: affordable, lively, and always something going on if you’re willing to explore beyond the lecture halls.
Would I recommend it? Yes, especially if you’re creative, motivated, and mildly chaotic in the best way. Just bring your hustle, your humor, and maybe a backup hard drive.
