It was an exciting time during my studies here, had a lot of diversity, very nice and supportive lecturers but my one issue is just that the curriculum doesn’t really prepare you much for the job market

it was a great university for learning new things related to IT and Security. Learned alot about how the Internet works and how to protect us from hackers and scams. All the courses contents were according to the program and got hand-on experiences and training about them.

My experience at Coventry University has been generally positive, especially in the Cybersecurity programme. The curriculum is up-to-date and covers a broad range of relevant topics, from network security to ethical hacking and digital forensics. I appreciated the practical, hands-on labs and the opportunity to work with real-world tools, which helped me build both technical skills and confidence.

The lecturers are approachable and knowledgeable, and I always felt supported whenever I had questions or needed guidance. The university’s online resources and learning platform are also quite user-friendly, which made remote learning manageable during challenging times.

If there’s one area for improvement, it would be more industry networking opportunities and career support for students looking for internships or job placements, especially in cybersecurity. Sometimes it felt difficult to get practical work experience while studying, but the academic support was strong.

Overall, I would recommend Coventry University to anyone interested in cybersecurity or IT. The programme is solid, the staff are supportive, and you get a good mix of theory and practice.

As a student studying Information Technology for Business at Coventry University, my experience has been largely positive. MSc in Data Science and computational intelligence has given me a deeper understanding of the computational systems behind data science and AI technologies. This expertise shall allow me to write more confidently and accurately in fields related to big data, ML, AI, or even cybersecurity. I can also break down highly technical processes into digestible content for a wide audience.

I like the campus and society culture they offer. Also how they have implemented hybrid learning. The university also offers good fairs for creating new connection with career related fields. Over all they give a wonderful experience

Coventry University made me feel like I was be schooled by friends and family. The warmth and support I got from lecturers and students was extraordinary. If given the opportunity to travel abroad for studies, I will choose Coventry University, UK again and again.

Coventry University is not a closed off campus that secludes you from the ‘outside world’; having the university buildings spread out through a small section of Coventry City Centre lets the students breath for a short while and feel part of the bigger society during their University experience. Having the university building spread out does have its cons though as it makes it slightly more difficult to find where classes or meeting point are, especially if it is your first year; thankfully, the university provides an app/website called WayFinder that allows the user to type in a class of building name and then will give them directions to get there. As Coventry can be considered a ‘cozy’ place compared to big cities like Birmingham or London, for me, it is the perfect place to start off a new stage in your life and don’t want to get overwhelmed with the location change. For students like me who came from outside of England, being part of Coventry University helped make this scary change run a lot smoother, from the faculty to the students – they are always there looking out for you when you need them to be. The university also offer various societies for students to apply to with free taster sessions throughout the year, each society hold social events so the members are able to interact not only during society times but also outside to get to know everyone else on a more friendlier level. The societies however do have fees which could vary each year depending on how many members have decided to participate also if your club competes during tournaments, there could be additional charges.
Overall, my time so far at Coventry University has been amazing even with the ups and downs, meeting different kinds of people from my society and from university accommodation that several I am living with now in my second year and probably will be living with until I graduate.

A Great school all around. The beautiful scenery and buildings. The learning atmosphere is amicable and great. The staffs and lecturers are really excellent and helpful. The international standard is high.

Coventry university provides their student with many placements in different companies and also helps them with their CVs when they apply.
They have a job and placement finding platform which allows their student to apply to any jobs they want.
