Studying at ARU: The Good and The Not-So-Good

I studied at Anglia Ruskin University and overall had a positive experience, with a few areas that I think could be improved.

What I liked most about ARU was the accessibility of the lecturers and the quality of support services. My professors were approachable and genuinely interested in helping students succeed, both academically and professionally. The library resources were excellent, with access to a broad range of academic materials, and the digital learning tools were user-friendly and reliable.

The university also has a diverse student community, which enriched classroom discussions and made group projects more dynamic. I appreciated the emphasis on practical learning and employability, which helped bridge the gap between theory and real-world application—particularly valuable in a course like Project Management.

However, there were some aspects I didn’t find as impressive. At times, communication between departments felt disjointed, particularly around administrative processes like visa support or timetable changes. Some of the facilities could also use updates—especially certain study spaces and common areas. Additionally, while careers support was available, I felt it could be more tailored and proactive in helping international students find opportunities in the UK market.

Overall, I’m grateful for my time at ARU and believe it provided a strong foundation for my career. With a few improvements in administration and career services, the student experience could be even stronger.
