UWE has been a brilliant place to study so far, offering a supportive and dynamic learning environment. As a Marketing student, I’ve been impressed by how relevant and practical the course content is. Lecturers bring real-industry experience into teaching, which makes lessons engaging and applied to real business situations rather than just theory.

My time at the University of the West of England in Bristol has been great. The university’s educational approach is both flexible and practical, allowing me to manage my academics so well. The teaching members stand out for their commitment and genuine concern for their students’ achievement. I’ve had a terrific experience, with plenty of possibilities to participate and make the most of my time here. The lecturers are friendly, thoughtful, and enthusiastic about their subjects, and the academic programs are comprehensive and fascinating. I feel like I’ve had some pretty incredible experiences at UWE Bristol.

My experience at the University of the West of England Bristol has been excellent. The institution has a worldwide perspective, with students from all over the world, resulting in a lively and diverse community. The courses are designed to be practical and career-oriented, providing me with the necessary skills and experience to thrive in the industry. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in internships and obtain real-world experience, which has proven beneficial in preparing me for the job market. The lecturers are industry specialists with extensive experience, offering insights and knowledge that extend beyond the classroom.

My experience at UWE was generally positive, with a few mixed elements. What stood out most were the facilities, especially the Frenchay Campus. The library is spacious and well-equipped, and the modern labs and study areas made coursework more manageable. One thing I appreciated was the emphasis on career support: placements, career fairs, and mock interviews were all well-organized. The city of Bristol is another big plus—vibrant, diverse, and full of opportunities. Accommodation was decent but a bit pricey, and was hard to get accommodation but now its easy as more is avaiablabe/ newly built. Overall, I am enjoying my time at UWE, the campus is great, so are the lectures and all the extra curriculars and societys you can join as well.

I studied Business Management with Accounting and Finance at the University of the West of England through a distance learning program while living in Cyprus. Although I didn’t have the chance to experience the campus or in-person classes, the overall academic structure was well-organized and clear. The course content was relevant and up-to-date, and communication with the university was efficient and professional. I appreciated the flexibility and support provided throughout my studies. Based on my experience, I would recommend this university to students seeking a solid academic foundation through remote learning.

UWE Bristol is a great university with helpful lecturers, tutors and supporters. They offer great opportunities to gain work experience via student jobs, internships, year-long placements and grad schemes and they have so many tools and a dedicated team to help with the application process, including CV writing and job interviews. They offer all types of support, from finance management to neurodiversity and counselling. There are various affordable societies that students can join and enjoy outside of lectures, such as arts and crafts, sports clubs or more academic or professional societies. I could not recommend UWE more, they are very diverse and inclusive, with a great campus and social life. I have not experienced their accommodation, but I heard that they offer nice rooms and good facilities, they have also built new flats to guarantee accommodation for all first year students! One thing I would change is making more efforts to make students aware of internal jobs and partnerships, as well as pushing students more to apply for internships/placements during university because they are very useful and make a difference in future grad scheme or job applications.

UWE Bristol s known for its strong emphasis on employability and practical learning, boasting high graduate employment rates. Its modern facilities and industry partnerships enhance the student experience, providing valuable real-world insights and opportunities. The only challenge is that it lack the breadth and depth of research excellence found in more established institutions.

University of the West of England is so helpful when it comes to having staff onsite at any time of the day via email or face to face. The campus is amazing and provides so much for students living on campus and also off campus when coming in for teaching, such as a variety of food options, shops for groceries and the student union. The seminar rooms are to a high standard and the lecture rooms are comfy. My studying experience has been amazing with a 24/7 library which helps me meet my deadlines when needed.

My program at UWE was amazing! As an international student, the support I got from academic and non-academic staff was next to none.

At UWE, I gained all the necessary skills and experience that have enabled me to succeed post-University.

I would a 1000% recommend UWE to prospective students.

Business and Management (and similar courses) has good potential. The information and content that we are presented with is educative and relevant. It showcases and explores current issues in business and other sectors related to it, which prepares students for the ‘outside’ world of real work in the field. However, this is an ideal scenario. Many times, the teaching staff are not in sync with each other and the university itself, which creates problems such as not being able to give a definitive answer to a student’s question. Lack of preparedness, organization, presenting/speaking skills, and understanding of how students think, and work is a common phenomenon among the lecturers. Plus, much of student’s precious time is wasted on campus with lectures/workshops which could be more efficient if delivered online.
