Overall a great experience had at Birmingham University, Id definitely recommend this University to other who what to study in a city with lots to offer other than education. great choice of courses and help and resources easily assessable

Studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of Birmingham has been both a challenging and rewarding experience. When I initially started the degree in September 2022, I was thrown straight into the deep end, covering advanced A Level Biology topics (a subject I had not done at A level), alongside some more medically oriented modules as well. As interesting as it is tough, it is a degree you should take great care in deciding to do as it is quite content heavy and you must have a passion for not just medicine, but also the biological mechanisms that underlie many processes within the human body.

Besides the course content, almost all of my lectures have been in the medical school. There are pros and cons to this, with all of our lectures being in once place it is easy to find and when you have a full day you can sit in the ‘Med Cafe’ in your breaks so it almost mimics a school day which is nice and structured. However, the medical school is just outside of the Birmingham campus so you do not get to go in so often which is a shame as, in my opinion, the campus is one of the best parts of the University.

Now in my second year, I feel more settled within the course and the University. I have managed to make great friends and have seen success in my exam results this year. Furthermore, the social aspect at the University is amazing and I still have more than enough time to see friends and go out with such an intense degree.

Overall, I would 100% recommend the University of Birmingham as a place to study, and Biomedical Sciences is a great degree if you are passionate about the subject.

Overall the University of birmingham is just an incredible institution. From the array of expertise teachings and how phenomenal the campus is definitely enhances its beauty and is enriched with the amazing resources and incredible people that are always willing to help and make you feel welcomed everywhere you go. I would 100% recommend the University of Birmingham to be one of the best universities out there and through not only the various courses that they offer but all the social societies definitely adds to the fun and great opportunities that it provides

Good security, great sports environment, top notch facilities, wonderful staffs and laboratories and also a welcoming atmosphere for learning this makes the great University of Birmingham which makes it the best institution.

The University of Birmingham is a fantastic University that is aimed at giving academic excellence. The lecturers are very easy to work with and are qualified, the have good facilities made available for students. Birmingham University is the best.

The level of student-teacher interaction is great. The standard of teaching is also incredible and the campus is beautiful with great facilities. The student atmosphere is also great with lots of support from external and internal mentors. I have found the transport to and from university great as the connections in Birmingham are well planned. The student housing is well priced, safe and lovely to live in

The university of Birmingham has world class facilities that has been set in place for the students in other to acquire standard education and proper tutoring, with also the state of the art library, the University has been the best around.

The lecturers in the University are known for what they know how to do best which is to bring out the best from the students, in the department the lecturers also go for research in other to guide the students well

The university has excellent facilities and everyone, the lecturers, unions, administration staff are very helpful and really care for the students wellbeing so that they have the best uni experience possible! Definitely recommended!

I am currently studying BSc Biomedical Science which I love as the course content is really engaging and helps me feel more and more prepared for a career in Biomedical Research. It is exactly what I expected when I read about it on the UoB website. There are a mixture of in-person lectures, recorded lectures and interactive seminars (which are taught in smaller groups of about 15 people).
