Modules

My passion for Mechanical Engineering continued in my first year of university when we were given the objective of manufacturing an electric vehicle as a group of 10. This module really tested my team working skills as being put in a large team meant everyone would have their own responsibilities and if everyone exceeded this meant the project would run very smoothly. I was given the role of being the team leader which meant I assigned my group tasks individually and was given the task of organising meetings and making sure everyone was up to date in their tasks. I would like to think my group exceeded this project as we were the first group to finish the electric vehicle and maintain a high and safe standard. For my second project, I was put in a group of 5 where we had to manufacture a wind turbine. This was a different experience for us as it meant having a smaller group would mean more tasks would have to be completed between us. These two group projects really enhanced my communicational and teamworking skills because if you do not have good communication between you and your colleagues then tasks would take up more time to be completed.
