When I was applying to this university, I read many reviews, and they were very positive. Articles and videos also made the professors look excellent. However, once I started studying, especially in my second year, I saw the reality and I can say that KPI is going downhill.
Dormitory life: The campus administration seems completely indifferent to the living conditions of students. For example, there is currently a heating issue. According to official news from Kyiv, most of the city already has heating, but when we contact the campus administration, they claim that they haven’t even sent a request to Kyivenergo. I cannot understand how this is possible.
We pay a significant amount of money (2,500 UAH for a shared room), and the administration lies when they say it’s only 1,500 UAH. The conditions are terrible: hallways are dark, dirty, and look like hospitals from the 1980s; rooms lack electrical appliances, there are at most four outlets, and not all work; walls, ceilings, and floors are dirty; toilets are full of holes, extremely dirty, and smelly; sinks and stoves are broken. The exterior of dormitories is also terrible – parts are falling apart, rusty, and dirty. And this is 2025!
The situation is the same in other dormitories (videos, photos, and conversations with students from different departments confirm this). Often, water is turned off or there is no hot water.
Education: Even if you live outside the dorms, problems persist. In the Institute of Applied System Analysis, we currently face frequent power outages—sometimes up to 14 hours. When we contact the department, they tell us to solve it ourselves with the professors. The professors are also reluctant to help because they strictly follow their syllabus.
Most syllabi are inaccurate, textbooks are often missing or not followed, and professors are not interested in students’ learning or understanding the material. Even if you spend your free time on projects related to your courses, professors do not value it, saying: “Your free time is your personal matter.”
How can anyone rate this university even 2 stars when the administration and professors do not care about education or solving student problems? I do not recommend anyone to enroll here; it is better to choose another university.

Cool and amazing comunity, interesting social life, useful experience and approach to solve anything.
What to improve: actual knowledge required for subjects, buildings repair and heating)))
