KNLU stores a lot of potential to guide a new generation of teachers and translators toward a meaningful career. Unfortunately, it’s curriculum was often lacking. The program was too outdated and relied too many times on the 90s teachings, irrelevant to the current needs and technological development. It was also repetitive and didn’t provide insight into the linguistic structure of languages.
The teaching stuff is diverse. Your experience will depend on the specific class you chose, and also simple luck. Some are the sweetest, kindest souls who want to share knowledge. A lot of them are mean spirited and abusive. The campus itself is difficult to live in, as it is crowded, in need of repair, and regular cockroach infestation.
