METU is METU because of its campus – the campus not as a physical entity but as a place of thought, art, socialising. A place of great diversity and consequently a great flourishing space to widen your horizons, METU is not prominent solely because of its wonderful instructors and professors (who are, truly, magnificent most of the time) but also because of its student profile. This campus enables many students of many backgrounds come together and thus change their perspectives in their lives; METU is also a place to change your life. You CAN start yoga, climb a mountain. Drinking wine on sunny spring afternoons under a tree can be your go-to activity. You can spend HOURS cramming in the library the night before a final, but still, it does not feel so bad as lying on the couch at your parent’s house. It has an air of… dream-y teenage life.
