As an international student, I opted for this university due to its good reputation in my country and the cultural proximity of our countries. Mostly, it has been a rewarding experience as far as education is concerned. However, regarding the social life on campus for international students, there is barely any to be found. Every single student club and society is Turk dominated; no surprise there. Career fairs and other extracurricular seminars and exhibitions et cetera are all conducted in the Turkish language, with no regard given to the plea of the internationals. The internationals have their own society wherein they help each other out, which is commendable. Be that as it may, more regard should be given to the needs of international students if the university wants to continue to claim its status as an international university.
