Ege University (reviews)

This university that has been on my dream list years before I got into it is full of surprises. In my first year, I expected to feel alienated yet the people (both students and professors) are all so welcoming that I never felt like an outsider. Are there any disappointments that I’ve experienced? Of course. But knowing that this is not qualified as one of the best universities of Turkey, it’s reasonable and understandable. As a student, I encourage all soon-to-become students and foreign students to choose Ege and become a part of this big friendly family.

Being from this university is exactly like being from Turkey. There are hardships and struggles but there are also many amazing people, opportunities, assests and values that make you proud to belong here.

Settled in Izmir, the most liberal city in Turkey(I would even say one of the most liberal cities in Europe) the university isn’t much different than that. Many proffessors and students are very open minded thus giving you the freedoms you won’t have anywhere else in the region.

The university has most of its facilities in one campus right near the city center, being home to more than 60.000 students and a great variety of disciplines being studied.

I study in the faculty of medicine and it has the biggest hospital in the region, allowing you to experience a lot if you take the necessary initiative(it is a bit opportunistic in this sense unfortunately). However we have great department of medical education, where a student can have their voice heard anytime. We have an integrated spiral curriculum which is the most innovative design. We also have a great public health department with really elaborate curriculum. There are many opportunuties for research too. In general the faculty as a whole is a place where you can find anything you want if you give the effort.

One other thing is the student clubs and associations. In our university, especially in the faculty of medicine we have many clubs that any medical student can get involved with and improve themself while experiencing the sense of comity.

At the end it is a university where there are a lot of great people trying to do great things. It may not be flawless, but it sure is perfect cause its home.

Ege university is the best chance for living a good university life and experience so many things. we have lots of students club that you can attend. I knew the all students in here are happy and grateful to being a student in here.lots of love from aegee-izmir

The 8500-year-old İzmir, which dates back to the Neolithic period, is one of the rare cities of the world with rich historical beauties. Izmir has hosted many civilizations; One of the Seven Wonders of the World, Ardemisio-Efesos, the Romans Agora, the oldest known bridge in the Guinness Book of Records and contains many other historical traces.

Ege University is a huge university with a great facility. It has got lots of opportunities. For example pool, Mac laboratory, photograph studio, paid article memberships in the library and research&development improvements. Also we have really talented and experienced professors. If u have a vision and will to have a good education and lots of fun you have to choose Ege university.

What i like most about my university is its city. Izmir is the one of the greatest and most european city in Turkey. Its weather, its atmosphere and its people, i love everything about my university. It is so easy and nice to be student in Izmir.

I came to study Ege University from the town of Izmir. The campus was as large as my town area. I was quite surprised but happy on the other side. Because I knew big university means more chances during education period. There has been many years since Ege is established, that’s why most of the things are settled. I studied psychology and it added a lot to me as this programme is supported by medicine faculty. We had a chance to learn both educational and sanitarian aspects of psychology. With the graduated title, I received many different offers from institutes and private companies. Sociology faculty is quite enhanced and this makes psychology programme one of the best around the country.

Ege provides the largest area for biological tests in Turkey. Its special area in campus is like a heaven for biology students. For that reasons, students can experience many living creatures during their education. Comparing the standing with other universities, its easier to enter due to low point requirements. On the other hand, provided opportunities are the most compared to other universities. For science and research, it is the best chance in Izmir and one of the best in Turkey.
