Utrecht university gives a lot of support to developing students in ways other than just studying.
University education is only one aspect of the development of students. Students can also develop themselves by being active is a student and studied associations.
With more than 50 associations that focus on various different aspects sport, studies, culture or travel, you name it there is an association for it.
Personally, I became an active member of my studies association and the department of the European student association AEGEE.
AEGEE provided me with many opportunities to meet students from different countries which helpt me further develop myself on different levels than just University education. So I am really happy that the University supports associations like this in many ways.
